Abbie started her Performing Arts education at a young age studying RAD and ISTD syllabi in the UK, continuing with this when her family relocated to Dubai. Abbie has studied and worked in Dubai since 2008. She has performed at events all over the UAE. Abbie has a passion for supporting children with special needs and hopes to one day start classes that will allow these children to express themselves through performing arts. With experience in both performing arts and business management, Abbie is delighted to have joined the DPA team full time as Operations Manager to support and nurture the ever growing DPA family.

Georgina Barnes

ISTD Dance and Musical Theatre Teacher 

Georgina developed a love for performing at a young age and 16 years old was accepted into the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts College, London. Whilst training at Laines she gained her Trinity 3-year diploma in Musical Theatre and ISTD Teaching Qualifications.
Georgina has performed in the UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dream Coat, Aladdin as well as in music videos in the UK and abroad. Georgina has featured in principal roles in TV commercials and photography shoots for clients such as Nike, Kellogg’s and Virgin Active. Having taught and choreographed for several years in the UK, Georgina thrives on working with young performers and with her graduating in the last three years, Georgina is excited to connect with the students at DPA and help them develop into triple threat talented performers and pass on her Laine's style of musical theatre and dance.


Lisa is a professional dancer, gymnast and aerialist acrobat from Edinburgh, Scotland. She is a fully UK qualified gymnastics coach holding her British and Scottish Gymnastics Qualifications Level 1,2 and 3, along with being a qualified ISTD teacher of dance. Lisa has years of teaching experience, having taught gymnastics since the age of 15 years old, when she gained her very first teaching qualification. Lisa's Acro classes are dynamic, she teaches a combination of gymnastics skills, such as free cartwheels, back walkovers and impressive multiple tumbles and flips.

Sara is a 28 year old professional dancer living and working in Dubai. Originally from Dorset in England, Sara started dancing at the age of 3 as a hobby but it soon turned into an obsession and later a career. When she was 16, she was awarded a national scholarship for the Doreen Birds Performing Arts College in London. After graduating, Sara's dance career began to flourish when she started dancing for the likes of Alexandra Burke, Cee Lo Green, Paloma Faith, McFly, one direction, JLS, Cheryl Cole and many more. Performing on various hit TV shows like X FACTOR, BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Since moving to Dubai, Sara has danced in large-scale events such as the Dubai World Cup, Chinese New Year and more. Sara has been teaching at DPA for over 3 years and is a passionate teacher who's classes are renowned for being dynamic.

​​​​​​​​Jessica grew up in south London and has always had a passion for the performing arts. She was lucky enough to be accepted into the BRITS school (Adele, Jessie J, Katy Melua & Amy Winehouse all studied there) at the age of 16, and gained a triple distinction in her Musical Theatre Diploma. After completing two years at the BRITS school she auditioned for the prestigious Guildford School of Acting, and after a successful 3 years of active studying gained a BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre. ​​Since graduating Jessica has been active in the Performing Arts world. She has been involved in many fringe theatre performances, travelling theatre companies, setting up Theatre in Education workshops, directing short plays and has also been working as a professional singer in many popular bands in the UK and around the UAE. Jessica loves working with children, she has been teaching children for over 7 years. Jessica thrives off the passion and excitement performing arts can bring into a child’s life how a child’s confidence and character is enhance and also how through drama, music and dance a child or young person can learn discipline and life skills. Jessica is so excited to be part of DPA, and is really looking forward to the journey ahead….
